Yes, yes, yes! At last, a Map editor for the Win95 version of Marathon 2. This is still a beta release, but I didn't notice any major problems, and the author has put together quite a fun scenario (see below) built only with this editor. Includes a number of usefull features such as a circle/elipse tool, stairs tool and a useable 3D walkthrough mode. There are no real docs at present, but things are quite intuitive for anyone that's used Pfhorte. There's a quick list of key commands, and I'll add other documentation as it becomes available. Updates will be available here and at the authors home page (10/19/97) (220K) Stephen Schlueter |

M2 Cheat
|
A very simple saved game editor for the Win95 version of Marathon 2. This has been available in the ftp area for some time, but has at last been added to the main pages. This is a DOS based application, but works fine under Win95 by dragging a saved game onto it and editing the fields. (07/21/97) (15K) Simon Brownlee |

M2 Win95 NDZ
|
A patcher for the Win95 version of Marathon that will alter the application so that it will ignore divide-by-zero errors, similar to IZD for the Mac. Very usefull for playing older Mac made maps that will normally crash Marathon. Further details can be found on the authors page (10/19/97) (8K) Stephen Schlueter |

PortMaster

Moves any custom terminal graphics or chapter screens from the resource fork of Macintosh made Marathon 2 maps into the data fork, so that the map can be used in the Win95 version of Marathon 2. This is only really required for solo scenarios with custom graphics - net maps will work fine on both platforms without conversion. The program will also convert an 'Images' file into the correct Win95 format for anyone considering complete scenarios. Note: this program only runs on Macs (it needs to access PICT resources in the resource fork, which can only be easily done using the Mac Toolbox). (11/26/96) (33K) Bungie |

Stuffit Expander For Windows
|
If you're running the Win95 version of Marathon 2, you'll need this to extract all the files at the HyperArchive that are stored in Stuffit/MacBinary/BinHex format. From Aladdin Systems (355K) |

Academy for Planetary Defense
|
A fun 12 level Win95 scenario built using Stephen's excellent Marathon 2 Map Editor for PC. The first level's consist of various training excercises at the academy - there's some quite clever puzzles here, such as shooting ranges and obstacle courses, which keep you coming back to try again and again. Also works to a certain extent in the Mac version of Marathon if you want to test it out, although some of the levels will cause Mac Marathon to crash due to the too many transparent sides problem (the Win95 version does not appear to suffer from this). Check out the authors page for updates. (10/19/97) (402K) Hana Ohkawa/Stephen Schlueter |
